Accessible & ADA-Compliant Bathrooms

Safe, barrier-free living without sacrificing elegant design. 18 Construction Management Group LLC specializes in zero-entry showers, structural safety integrations, and beautiful aging-in-place renovations.

Safety Should Never Look Clinical.

When homeowners think of "accessible bathrooms," they often picture cold, hospital-like environments. But aging in place shouldn't mean sacrificing the aesthetic beauty of your home. A properly engineered barrier-free bathroom can be the most stunning room in the house.

18 Construction Management Group LLC specializes in marrying critical safety features with premium, modern design. We construct flawlessly sloped zero-entry (curbless) showers, install structurally anchored designer grab bars, and utilize slip-resistant, high-end tiling to create a space that is as safe as it is beautiful.

Accessible Zero-Entry Shower South Florida

The Anatomy of a Safe Bathroom

True accessibility goes behind the walls. We build environments that eliminate daily hazards while providing ultimate comfort.

Zero-Entry Showers

We eliminate dangerous step-over curbs by dropping the subfloor and creating a seamless, properly sloped, watertight transition from the bathroom floor directly into the shower.

Structural Safety Bars

We don't use suction cups or drywall anchors. We tear down to the studs to install heavy-duty wood blocking, ensuring your designer grab bars can fully support adult weight.

Clearance & Functionality

We maximize the footprint for wheelchair or walker access. We install ADA-compliant wall-mounted floating vanities, widened doorways, and easy-to-use lever hardware.

Our Safety-First Execution Plan

As fully licensed general contractors, we ensure every structural change meets Florida Building Code for maximum safety and longevity.

1

Needs Assessment & Permitting

We evaluate your specific mobility and safety requirements. We then design a beautiful, accessible layout and pull all necessary municipal permits for plumbing and structural alterations.

2

Demolition & Structural Backing

We safely extract old, hazardous bathtubs. We expose the wall framing to install heavy wood blocking behind the drywall—this is the critical step that ensures your grab bars and fold-down seats will never fail.

3

Subfloor Sloping & Waterproofing

To achieve a seamless zero-entry shower, we modify the subfloor to create the perfect pitch for drainage. We then apply advanced, multi-layer waterproofing to ensure the room remains leak-free.

4

High-End Finishing & Turnover

Our craftsmen install slip-resistant tile, designer grab bars, and handheld shower fixtures. We conduct a rigorous safety test and walk-through to ensure the bathroom is perfect for your needs.

Accessibility & Safety FAQs

Absolutely not. Our goal is to make the space look like a high-end hotel or spa. We use designer-finish grab bars (brushed nickel, matte black), premium large-format tiles, and modern floating vanities to completely disguise the accessibility features.
We never use suction cups or toggle bolts in drywall. During the demolition phase, we install heavy structural wood blocking directly into the wall framing. This ensures that the grab bars and fold-down seats are permanently anchored and can safely support full adult body weight.
A zero-entry (or curbless) shower eliminates the dangerous 4-to-6 inch threshold you typically have to step over to enter. We accomplish this by safely modifying your subfloor, allowing the bathroom tile to transition completely flat into the properly sloped shower pan. It is ideal for wheelchairs, walkers, and general fall prevention.
